I'm a sucker for love and the month of February really brings that out in me. I paint my nails festive designs and wear red and pink, repeatedly and shamelessly, for the first two weeks of the month. Sometimes though, I have to be an adult but still want to celebrate the season. 

So I rounded up some red pants inspiration photos...I can still wear a Valentine's Day inspired outfit while maintaining some degree of professionalism.

color love // burgundy

Truth be told, this was a pretty difficult post for me to create. I'm not a fan of red, at all. It's the color of my alma mater's biggest rival and as a huge college football fan, I just can't bring myself to even consider any color that resembles Sooner red. Oxblood, burgundy, maroon....call it what you will...it's really just red masquerading as a deep Fall color. Don't you think? However, all that being said, I'm starting to come around (just a bit) to this rich tone. I will admit, it is a lovely warm color for Fall. And it happens to be one of the biggest colors of the season, so in the name of fashion....let's proceed! ;)

Here's my dream outfit with just a pop of burgundy.

Hello, Lili & Mae readers! This is Neda from Peony Park, and it's a pleasure to be here! Lovely Mae is such an inspiration and her beautiful blog reflects her elegant style. My post today was actually inspired by Mae's pretty red blouse.

Let's talk about the beautiful, vibrant, sultry, passionate, stunning color red! I believe that red is really having a moment. I know we've seen pieces of red in seasons past, but I don't recall the last time we had so many examples of vibrant red, the red that makes a statement and lingers in the mind long after it makes its appearance. And, what better time to embrace the very essence of red than in December? Here are some of my favorite ways to incorporate red into your world...
 

1. Beauty~  Red nails via classic Chanel colors or a vibrant red lipstick. Red looks good on everyone. You just need to find your perfect shade.

2. The Classic Red Dress~ It's impossible not to feel amazing in a beautiful red dress. Two of my current favorites are from Peter Pilotto and Tibi.

3. Accessories~ Try the faux fur trend with a red collar or invest in red jewelry...red and gold always make a stunning combination.

4. Handbags and Clutches~ everyone should have one red clutch or sharp red bag. It's the easiest "pick me up" for any outfit.

5. Asymmetrical blouses~ I'm in love with unique shapes this season, especially for evening. This Vionnet top is a work of art.

6. Blazers~ I loved Mae's post about blazers...a red one would really make a striking statement with jeans.

7. Red Flowers~ the ultimate expression of love...pack the red dahlias and roses together and make it even more grand and spectacular!
 

I hope this inspires you to pick up that red lipstick or to slip on that red dress...enjoy and celebrate in red, and you're guaranteed to feel special!
