there's no place like home

I'm clicking my ruby red slippers and going home! 

The past two and half years have been absolutely incredible living here in the Middle East.  The people I've met, the experiences I've had...amazing.  And I've been blessed to do work that I feel is a true service to humanity.  I've learned, laughed and developed in more ways than I ever thought possible.

Even so, I am beyond happy to be moving back to the US!  So. Happy. 

I fly out tomorrow and if all goes well I'll be in my queen size bed on the other side of the ocean on 1 January 2012.  What a wonderful way to start the New Year! 

Thank you again to all of you for your support this year!
I'm so thrilled for all the exciting new opportunities that are coming my way in 2012.

{fashion files} new year's eve

Time is going by so quickly, especially this week...I've been doing a bit of last minute prep but most everything is taken care of so I've had the chance to just spend time with the people I love (and am going to miss) the most.  With all of this moving-across-the-world hoopla, I almost forgot it's about to be a New Year! 

I've had some pretty incredible New Year's Eve experiences including atop the Eiffel Tower, a party in Prague, and numerous fun celebrations with family & friends.  I'm a lucky girl.  But I must admit I'm a little sad that I won't get to dress up for NYE this year because I'll be on a plane.  The fact that that plane is taking me back to America makes it all worth it though.  Still, I thought I would share what I wish I was wearing to ring in 2012 and what in reality I will most likely be wearing.

Typically you see a lot of black and gold NYE dresses, but why not wear something super flirty like that blush colored Alicia & Olivia dress? Either way, I say choose something that makes you feel beautiful and classy.
