I have been absolutely fascinated by calligraphy lately.
the fluid like movement of the letters...so lovely.
I've been working on a project (coming soon!) and it required a little calligraphy
so...I decided to give it a try myself!
I didn't really have any instructions, I just kinda went for it.
It's not as fancy as I would have liked, but I think it turned out pretty well.
what do you think?
I've also been trying to work on my photography skills
slowly, slowly...
what DIY projects are you working on?
it's almost Friday!

I LOVE the second one! I have to find the whole quote.
I had a calligraphy pen when I was younger and I use to use it all the time....like for everything. We had to have one in 7th grade for penmanship lol Why would you ever trust a bunch of 12 yr olds with ink is beyond me. lol

Wow -- that calligraphy is beautiful! I wish I could write like that!! Best of luck with your project!! :)
Looks like you are mastering it! I'm working on painting and putting new upholstering on an antic chair I found for a steal.
I've been interested in calligraphy lately too! I love how it seems to have evolved into a more modern and girly, less formal, more fun look. Yours looks great!
I think you did a really nice job in your test-project. I agree with mallory above, I really like how it is more fun and modern these days rather than super stuffy!
Very nice! It can be fun to take on a new project. Right now I'm just doing little updates to the house. :)
I have always wanted to learn calligraphy but never pulled it off. I think you did a great job. I need to do some DIY projects because they always make me feel less stressed.
I love calligraphy~ it makes such a gorgeous statement on stationery... and you did a great job!
ooooooooo pretty! I want a love letter now...
Gorgeous! Your practice run and photo of it are lovely. I was obsessed with calligraphy when I was in junior high and love the huge range of modern styles.
As for DIY, I'm finishing up a leather passport cover and a tribal-inspired garment, soon to be blogged. :)

I LOVE calligraphy! There is something so very therapeutic about curling those letters. ;) Love every picture!!
Hi! I just found your blog ~ I'm your newest follower! I'm seriously loving all these calligraphy examples...so classy and beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xoxo, eliza
I love calligraphy! So pretty...but I was taken by surprise to see the N.Canton address in the first pic. That's like 5 minutes from my parents' house where I grew up. Because hardly anyone's heard of it, it was surprising to see it on your blog! :)
I love handwritten calligraphy, wish I was great at it! checking the tutorial ;)
you did an amazing job!! i've always wanted to learn calligraphy :-) xo
